Circulation and filtration
Variable-speed pumps sized to the actual plumbing run rather than the biggest pump on the shelf, cartridge and DE filtration, and returns laid out for real circulation instead of dead corners.
Heating
Heat pumps, solar, and gas. Sizing is driven by the surface area, the spa volume and how you actually plan to swim in February. One thing has changed: under the 2025 California Energy Code, which applies to permit applications filed on or after January 1, 2026, the primary pool or spa heater must be a heat pump and/or solar, or draw at least 60 percent renewable or recovered energy. We design the heating system around the code that applies to your permit date, and we will tell you plainly which options are open to you before anything is drawn.
Sanitation
Salt chlorine generation, in-line chlorination, UV and ozone supplements. Salt is the default request and is worth it on most jobs, but it changes your coping and stone selection — that conversation happens during design, not after.
Lighting and automation
Color LED pool and spa lighting, landscape and feature lighting on the same controller, and phone-based automation for pumps, heat, lights and features.
