Ryan came up through two of the largest pool franchises in the country. At Premier Pools & Spas in San Diego he was lead project manager, running high-profile builds and learning the operational side of the business — sequencing, subs, inspections, and what actually causes a job to slip. At California Pools he moved to the front of the house as a top sales producer, working directly with homeowners on custom design.

The two halves are the point. Plenty of pool salespeople have never stood on a jobsite at seven in the morning waiting on an inspector. Plenty of project managers have never had to explain a three-month plan check to a family who wanted to swim in July. Doing both is what makes an honest timeline possible.

Santa Barbara Pools Design and Build was founded to put those two things under one roof: design and sales that know what construction can deliver, and construction run by someone who made the promise in the first place.

How we work

Engineering, soils where it is required, the permit package, plan-check corrections and every inspection are handled in-house. Ryan books the inspections himself — not a coordinator, not a sub. Our trade crews are the same people job after job, which is why the sequence holds.

We do not stack trades to make up a week. When a sub reschedules we tell you what moved and what it pushed, the same day.

The legal name

Structural Swim Systems LLC is the licensed entity that holds the contract and the permit. Santa Barbara Pools Design and Build is the name we build under. Both appear on your paperwork.
