What a custom pool actually means
Premier Santa Barbara Pools Design and Build begins every pool with the site rather than a shape: how the lot falls, where the sun sits in August, what the house wants to look at, and what the soil will carry. We design to those constraints first and shape the pool second. That is why our drawings arrive at engineering already answering the questions engineering asks.
Shapes and styles we build
Vanishing edge and infinity pools on sloped and hillside lots. Perimeter overflow and knife-edge designs. Lap pools and swim corridors. Plunge pools and cold plunges for tight urban lots. Geometric pools that hold a line with the architecture. Freeform pools with natural boulder and beach entries. Raised spas, spillover spas, and standalone spas on their own pad.
Finishes and materials
PebbleTec is our default interior finish and goes on the majority of our jobs, and it is the only pebble finish we install — the licensed brand, by licensed applicators. Traditional plaster and quartz finishes where the look calls for it. Glass, stone and porcelain waterline tile. Natural stone, precast and poured-in-place coping. We order coping and waterline tile before the shotcrete shoot so material is on site when the mason is.
Engineering, soils and permitting
Structural engineering, soils reports where the jurisdiction or the slope demands one, and the full permit package are handled in-house. We submit to the jurisdiction, we answer plan-check corrections, and we carry the permit. One team holds the drawings, the engineering and the permit from first sketch to final inspection.
